Just because winter has arrived in the North Georgia Mountains doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of fun filled actives to take part in this December. Below you will find all the events and attractions this month to help you experience all that Union County has to offer:

Christmas Concert at the Old Courthouse

December 5 (7:00pm-8:00pm)

North Georgia Chamber Symphony is a community orchestra performing in the North Georgia area. Performance at 7:00pm

Mountain Community Chorus Christmas Concert

December 5 at 7pm and Sunday December 7 at 3pm

Mountain Community Chorus, in combination with the Young Harris College Community Band will present its annual Christmas Concert

Christmas Tree Lighting at Vogel State Park

December 13 (4:30pm-8:00pm)

Kids will love the caroling, hayrides, Santa Claus visit, bonfire, hot chocolate and cider. The evening culminates with the lighting of a blue spruce. Please bring an unwrapped gift for a child 0-12 years of age, no toy guns or knives. The donations will help the Union County Sheriff’s Office toy drive.

Holiday on the Square & Christmas Parade

December 6 4pm, Santa Claus before the Parade(1:00 pm-3:30 pm)

The first Saturday in December signals the gathering of residents and visitors to Downtown Blairsville for our Annual Christmas Parade and Holiday activities.

Tour of Trees

December 5 ( 9:00am-5:00pm) Although the trees will be on display for the entire month of December

Over 30 beautifully decorated trees and wreaths on display through the Community Center.
